Empower

August 6th

9:00AM - NOON

FELLOWSHIP HALL

To better equip our staff, leaders, and volunteers, we are hosting EMPOWER, a training on mental health issues and the church, with a special emphasis on dealing with anxiety and those struggling with anxiety. This training will be led by Matt Stanford of the Hope and Healing Center & Institute.

EMPOWER is the first step in the Gateway to Hope training program, and it consists of a two-hour teaching/facilitation followed by a thirty-minute Q&A. EMPOWER provides faith communities with a clinical and biblical perspective on mental illness that includes the four R's every pastor or lay counselor needs to know: how to recognize the signs of mental disorders, how to make a proper referral, relating to individuals and families impacted by mental illness, and how to set-up restorative programs and services within your church.

This seminar is free, and will have childcare available, but space is limited. If you would like to attend, please RSVP so we can best steward this opportunity.
